The Cull

Logline

Paddy, honour-bound after the death of his father, is committed to maintaining his family's farming traditions.  But when his only son, William [14] shows no sign of following suit, Paddy fears the legacy will be lost, forever.  Convinced that he can change William's sensibilities, Paddy engages William in increasingly challenging farm work.  But as Paddy's relationship with the adolescent William deteriorates, Paddy pushes his son one step too far, with devastating consequences.
